Lab Introduction
The Water Innovation Research Lab is at the forefront of pioneering advanced water technologies aimed at ensuring sustainability. Our group is dedicated to advancing the field of engineering nanomaterials, membrane separation, capacitive- and battery deionization. The research ranges from lab-scale experimentation to pilot-scale development, with the ultimate aim of future commercialization. These endeavors hold the promise of opening new frontiers in water desalination, wastewater reclamation, brine concentration toward zero liquid discharge, and selective recovery of rare metal ions from high-tech industries. Furthermore, we also aim to develop nanotechnology-enabled electrochemical technology, leveraging bipolar membrane electrodialysis and reversible redox reactions, as sustainable resources for carbon capture.
