Lab Introduction
The International Energy Agency's Sustainable Development Scenario (IEA-SDS) estimates that 15% of CO2 reduction needs to be achieved through Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage (CCS) by 2050. The center is committed to the development of technologies such as carbon storage site investigation, injection and monitoring, as well as integrates inter-university and enterprise resources to promote interfaculty and interdisciplinary cooperation in net-zero carbon emission technology. Strategic cooperate with relevant industry to form a complete ecological chain, so that Taiwan can achieve the goal of net zero carbon emissions in 2050. In addition, the center is investing in wind power generation and geothermal exploration research, aiming to bolstering the capacity of renewable energy development in Taiwan, in order to realize a sustainable future.
