Lab Introduction
The NCREE–NTUCE Joint Artificial Intelligence Research Center was established to advance research on artificial intelligence (AI) applications in earthquake engineering, disaster prevention, structural engineering, and materials design, with the goal of becoming an internationally influential AI research center in these fields. The Center focuses on conducting world-class research, recruiting promising young scholars, building advanced hardware and software infrastructures, and promoting interdisciplinary and academia–industry collaboration.
The Center was jointly established on July 6, 2018, by the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE) and the Department of Civil Engineering, National Taiwan University (NTUCE). Since its establishment, the Center has continuously integrated academic research with practical applications, advancing AI-driven research in engineering and disaster mitigation, and steadily progressing toward its vision of becoming a world-class research center.
