Lab Introduction
The research covers areas including nature, recreation and health, forest therapy, health tourism, and the application of new technologies in leisure and recreation. The main focus of the research is forest therapy, primarily investigating the correlation between forest recreation activities and health benefits. These health benefits encompass physiological health, psychological health, and cognitive function, such as improvements in heart rate, blood pressure, stress hormones, autonomic nervous system function, anxiety levels, emotions, and enhanced creativity. Over the years, studies have explored the health benefits of forest therapy activities among different populations (college students and middle-aged to elderly groups). Research findings indicate that forest therapy experiences and contact with nature contribute to improved psychological health among student populations and help alleviate stress and enhance cognitive function among middle-aged to elderly groups. Additionally, virtual reality nature experiences also show functional benefits in individual health recovery.
